Kyo slid the door to the kitchen open with a soft clack, he had been out, running, but as the sun had began to set and his breathing had began to tear into his chest he had remembered Tohru's Parting words as he had started out into the Woods, and he had turned back toward home.
Be Safe Kyo-Kun! And the weather says it might rain, so be home early, okay?"
He Looked at her now as she wiped down the counters in Shigure's Kitchen, stopping in her Labors every now and Then to wipe the sleep from her eyes and Yawn loudly, turning her chin up to the Window to stare out at the world, maybe? Possibly? Waiting for him? Suddenly Kyo felt that pulling urge in the Pit of his stomach- The need to go and wrap his arms around her waist and to kiss her on those perfect lips, He couldn't allow himself to do this though, for it would only hurt her and he knew it. And then there was that minor complication of him turning into a Cat. He opened his mouth to interrupt his own thoughts-
"Hey," He said his voice still hoarse from his run,
Tohru Jumped and Spun in the air to face him biting her lip to suppress the inevitable Cry of 'Uwahh!' fighting it's way out. Kyo Grinned widely looking with pleasure at the utterly shocked expression on her face
"Jeez, Did I Scare you?"
"Ah, Yes! That you did."
Tohru gave him that sleepy smile she always did after the sun had gone down and the stars sprinkled the sky- as they did tonight.
"Looks Like it didn't rain after all." Kyo pointed out breaking the small yet still awkward silence, leave it to Tohru To stop her motor mouth tonight of all nights, her silence seemed oddly seductive.
"Oh! No, it didn't did it?" Tohru Exclaimed scuttling over to the window and peering out, "It looks like the clouds passed over us without any rain," She turned her head, hands still resting on the counter "Come See Kyo-Kun! The stars are so beautiful tonight,"
Kyo Obliged, folding to the happy expression on the soft sleep worn face "Hnn," He said as he looked out through the curtains
"They're just like you"
