They say children like us don't know anything about love. Wouldn't recognize it if it dropped out of the sky on top of us wearing Dobby's tea-cozy and Snape's thong, we've been told. It doesn't matter how much we say it, the doubts that have been planted by our parents are there.

Why do they say we can't know love? We love our family and friends, don't we? Or is that a false love? When I'm with him, I've gone head over heels, and it's all I can do to pay attention in potions or Care of Magical Creatures anymore. He's so beautiful and innocent – completely naïve. I love watching the way his long hair – he grew it out over the summer - falls into his with the slightest gesture, and the way he flicks it out of his eyes.

He won't wear it in a ponytail anymore, I'm pleased to say. He wears it long, just for me, because I like it that way. His voice startles me out of my thoughts as we lay in our bed, naked under the silk covers.

"Draco?"

"Yes?"

He nuzzles my cheek. "I love you, my dragon."

I kiss his forehead. "I love you too, Seamus, my lucky charm."
