Happy Birthday Hidan

Summary: It's Hidan's birthday and Kakuzu spoils him. It's at the end of the day that Hidan is glad he met his love, Kakuzu.

"Hidan. Hidan! Wake up!"

"Mm," Hidan mumbled, turning and shifting. "I'm sweeping basward."

Kakuzu chuckled. "I know; I need you up," he replied pleasantly.

Hidan's answer was to turn away and mumble incoherently. Kakuzu sighed good-naturedly with a roll of his eyes before he squared his shoulders. Bending forward, the miser lifted his zealot into a sitting position, and then he proceeded to dress his lover in his comfy civilian clothes, plus the Akatsuki cloak. Once dressed, Kakuzu placed Hidan's arms around his neck, then he lifted him like a baby.

Hidan scratched his nose against Kakuzu's light stubble, making the other chuckle. Kakuzu carried his lover to the kitchen; Hidan sniffed the air. Hidan's eyes finally blinked open in wonder and slight joy.

"Takoyaki," he mumbled, hungry.

Kakuzu put Hidan in a seat. "Good morning," he replied and put the snack food in front of Hidan.

"Yum," Hidan hummed, not really awake as he stuffed his mouth.

Kakuzu gave him a glass of milk. "Wake up Hida; we got a long day ahead of us," he said and Hidan groaned but nodded.

A few hours later, Hidan was fully awake and following a dirt path road next to Kakuzu; not behind for once as his lover was being slightly slower than usual. It was actually a pleasant travel for a mission; Kakuzu even held his hand, something he almost never did. Hidan was starting to get a little suspicious though. He didn't remember Pein-sama giving them a mission that morning but then again he was pretty tired.

Confused, Hidan followed and was surprised when they stopped at a soft yellow blanket with a basket on it. It was all in the shade of a large sakura tree that was happily in bloom; pink featherlike petal floating around them. The scene was beautiful. Teasingly almost, Kakuzu sat down and laid Hidan down, his head in the other's lap.

"What are you doing?" Hidan asked in confusion.

Was this Kakuzu? Or a genjutsu? This was so unlike his lover.

Kakuzu opened the basket and pulled out something. Hidan's eyes lit up when he saw it was a stick of dango with lots of sugary, amber syrup. Kakuzu began to feed him the sweet, giving him more while switching between dango and pocky.

Hidan was in heaven; purring like a kitten as he happily ate the sweets given to him. Kakuzu sniggered, kissing his lover while feeding him a dango ball; Hidan mewed and moaned in pleasure.

"Happy birthday," Kakuzu spoke softly against his lips.

Hidan's eyes snapped open before he huffed. "Birthday, right," he muttered then smiled as he was fed again.

"Mm," Kakuzu replied; taking a bite of his own. "You're what? Eight hundred now? Nine hundred you told me last?"

Hidan snorted quietly. "Today I am now one thousand years old," he said soberly.

Kakuzu's eyebrow rose. "What's up?" he asked curiously.

"Hundreds of years being of alone," Hidan murmured, then turned his head to nuzzle Kakuzu's thigh. "Love you."

Kakuzu understood as he kissed his zealot's forehead. Glad I met you too Hidan.

"I love you too," Kakuzu replied.

Happy birthday Hida-kun!

End.

I'm reading this story where Naruto wakes up as Hidan and its turns out Hidan is like, older than Rikudou Sennin. I think that's pretty cool; I could imagine Hidan that old though it makes me wonder why he wasn't a little smarter… it sucks he died though!

Btw, the story is called New Beginnings by Big-bird-8674, its super good and has a nice plot. Check it out!:
