Justin Finch-Fletchley looked at Harry with narrowed eyes before he nodded sharply to the boy who just saved his life before he turned to look at everyone else. "You all really need to learn to use your brains! Harry Potter saved all of us last year and he has yet to lie once that I know of. So why would he tell me that he was telling the snake to leave me alone if he wasn't? Unlike most of you Harry tends to go out of his way to make sure that he doesn't hurt anyone. Besides, so what if he can speak Parseltongue? It is just a different language just like some people can speak in French, Italian, German, Japanese, Chinese, or Arabic. Just because he can speak to snakes doesn't make him dark or evil. What it makes him is smart because he can work with snakes if he chose to. If you're going to be blaming anyone blame Malfoy who thought it was a good idea to conjure a poisonous snake like he did just to finally try to get one up on Harry."

He rolled his eyes and followed Harry out of the Great Hall. He split from Harry as he made his way to the Hufflepuff common room. He really didn't understand how people could assume that Harry was dark or evil just because he could speak and understand a language that nobody else could. He was really starting to think that most wizards and/or witches really didn't have a lick of logic or common sense in their DNA. Maybe it was the fact that he was a Muggle-Born that had him looking at things differently, but either way he was pissed about the way that his housemates reacted.

At first he had reacted like he did because he was scared, but it was the snake he was scared of not Harry talking to the thing. He had thought that by being in Hufflepuff that his fellow badgers would have been able to tell that Harry was loyal to everyone unless he was given a reason not to be. He just didn't understand how wizards and witches could be both smart and stupid at the same time. He would make sure later on that Harry knew he had been telling the truth about everything he said to everyone. He would not let this drive a wedge between him and the boy that he was just finally getting to know.
