Oliver: Lilly, do you think that maybe sometime you might consider going on a date with me?
Lilly: YES!! I would love to!!

Oliver: Do you ever get the feeling that maybe we were not meant to be together? You know, like maybe we're taking this to fast?

Lilly just walking out of the room with tears in her eyes.

But, when tragedy strikes

Miley: Oliver, you need to come to the hospital, there's been an accident.

Lilly with bandages all over her face and body, several cuts are visible.

True feelings come out.

Oliver and Lilly in the emergency room.

Lilly: I love you Oliver, and I will love you even in death.

Oliver: Lilly, I really like you, but to be honest, I'm not sure if I love you just yet.

And then the unthinkable happens.

Doctor: I'm sorry son, but your friend just didn't make it.

Oliver crying, his head against the hospital wall.

But who is to blame?

Miley: Oliver it's not your fault!

Oliver: Not my fault? If it wasn't for me, she wouldn't have gone speeding down the highway in the middle of a storm and crashed!!

Oliver punches the wall

Heather Truscott: YOU KILLED MY BABY, AND I WANT YOU BEHIND BARS, YOU BASTARD!

And at the funeral

Miley: You know, she always did love you.

Oliver places a note on Lilly's grave.

Oliver, with a tear streaming down his face: I'll miss you, Lilly.
