Daniel's Party
I parked my scratched up handed down Ford F-150 in the dusty gravel in front of the Adam's quaint house. Ivy crawled elegantly over the slightly rusted black iron gates that I opened quietly. The house was practically shaking with music that boomed and seeped through every crevice of the brick walls that held the home together. All of the sudden someone knocked me over onto the hard ground as I walked up to the doorstep. The guy who was now lying on top of me had messy brown hair and amazing eyes that gave me a sad and disappointed look. He said something like an "I'm sorry" but I was busy looking at his face and keeping my heart from bursting out of my fucking chest to actually process it. "Ugh, it's fine," I said trying to act as if I was actually there mentally. He continued to apologize as I attempted to ask him to get off of me. As he got off and sat next to me I noticed him glancing over angrily at a girl who looked much like Brenna and my friend Matt making out nearby. "Getting over your ex?" I said still struggling to form a semblance of something that resembled a sentence coming from a girl who knew what might be going on. "Not fun at all, she ditched me," he replied.
Taking his hand, I led him to a beat up car outside the house, opened the door, and sat in the front seat "Yeah, that's my car," he said. "Oh, sorry do you want me to get my ass out of it?" I questioned." "No, that's fine" he answered as he sat in the passenger seat. "Then why do you complain? "I asked him. "I'm Bryan" he changed the subject, typical. "Names Mary, Mary Jessica Taylor" I replied. "What are you James Bond agent or something?" He laughed. After that, we made small talk about bands, what our lives are like, and about the weather. I admit, when Bryan mentioned Evanescence I was completely hooked on him.
