This is a poem about Snape's last words 'Look at me," and what he and Harry may have been feeling during the brief amount of time they spent looking into each other's eyes.

Enjoy~

He wanted to see her, go back in time

He was coated in blood, nearing the end of the line

As if to grant a final wish, you entered through the wall

Your eyes, her eyes were what he needed after all

You walked to his side and took a knee

And he gave you his memories

"Look . . . at . . . me," his dying words were

Your eyes met his and he saw her

But the happiness, the love that he'd once seen

You take it away, you show him green

But you had his past in your hand, you would know the truth

How his love for your mother protected you

How he fooled the Dark Lord that took her from you both

And the death of Lily Potter formed an unbreakable oath

You did not yet know this, so as you stare

You unwittingly refuse to show Lily there

Though, for him, it was enough, to see her alive

The only part of Lily that survived

Through you he saw her, yes, he saw her through you

And he vanished thinking, "Just green will do"
