Dave crouched in the dark alley behind the putrid smelling dumpster.

He felt the weight of the ecto-gun in his hand. Strange how something that looked so much like a childs toy could be so powerful.

He had spent the last six months tracking down the ghost that had murdered his daughter.

He remembered the day well, his little girl had been feeling unwell recently so he had been bringing her up a bowl of soup to make her feel better ,but when he opened the door he found her bed empty and her sheets smeared in a glowing green substance he later found out was ectoplasm. From that moment on he swore revenge on whatever scum that had dared to lay a finger on his baby girl.

He had sent the ectoplasm to a friend of his who claimed he worked for an anti-ghost organisation called the guys in white who explained to him what it was and what it meant for his daughters faith. He had also been able to identify it as a belonging to a ghost who went by the name of Dani phantom.

It had taken months of research, leaving no stone unturned trying to track down the menace that had killed his baby. In the end they had been unable to track down the ghosts' whereabouts. He had been about to give up when pure luck had led him to spot the ghost on his way home.

And now here he was finger on the trigger aiming directly at the small figure in front of him. He hesitated for just a second.

She was very small.

Much younger than he expected.

Probably the same age as his Dani.

So very young.

Dani POV

Dani had just returned from being stabilised by her cousin. She was finally going back to her adopted family after six months of being away.

She was going to have to think of some explanation for that. She hoped they hadn't been to worried.

She would probably just tell them the truth, she had seen what Dannys secret had done to his family and she certainly didn't want to be hunted down by her own father.

Suddenly she felt a searing pain.

And then there was black.
