It was a situation that Hant was becoming quickly used to.
The whole thing had started while Gunpei was in the middle of a serious conversation (or at least that's what Hant figured-- he didn't actually overhear anything, but Gunpei's forehead was doing the wrinkle thing it did whenever he was in thought) with the Enjins when Sosuke teased Gunpei for being such a workaholic. Gunpei had replied that he wasn't a workaholic; he was making sure that Sosuke's laziness didn't get them killed, and well, one thing had led to another…
At least they hadn't started hitting each other. However, Sosuke had stormed off to the dinner table to brood in peace while Gunpei leaned back in his chair, and had given Hant such a glare when he tried talking to him, that Hant quickly decided to leave his teammate alone for now.
Well if Gunpei isn't gonna apologize, I guess I better do it for him. It wasn't that he disagreed with Gunpei: Sosuke was nice, but well… he was lazy. But the way Gunpei had handled it wasn't going to help anyone. Maybe if he spoke to Sosuke, he could smooth things over before they got out of hand…
"Stupid-- who the hell does he think he is?!" Sosuke was still at the table, grumbling to no one in particular. Hant began to approach him--
But Renn was there first. "He does a have a point though," he reminded Sosuke as he served him dinner.
"Doesn't mean he has to get all in my face about it," Sosuke snarled around a spoonful of soup.
The team's strategist/chef wiped his hands on his apron as he took a seat next to Sosuke. "Just give him some time. He'll warm up to you like everyone else."
Sosuke grinned. "Well, yeah. I am pretty charming."
Renn grinned in reply. "I'm aware of that."
They were quiet after that. Hant decided that now was a good time to let them know he was there so he could apologize for Gunpei (and also, maybe get Renn to get him an extra bowl of soup, since he was kind of hungry)… but he froze when Renn rested a hand on the side of Sosuke's face.
And Sosuke grinned again, but it looked much different than the one from before.
And then Renn kissed him.
And it was about the time that Sosuke started kissing Renn back that it occurred to Hant that maybe right now wasn't the time for apologizing.
Besides, he had something much more important to do now.

"Saki?! Saki!" Hant bust into the van. "Guess what I just saw Sosuke and Renn doing! They were--"
"Making out?" Saki gave him a knowing smile over her magazine. "Trust me, you'll get used to seeing that pretty quick."
