"Sacrificing for love,"
The once listless and calming field was now blotted with scarlet drops from men. The smile on his dumb face she always saw was no where to be found. She wondered and continued onto the quiet scarlet field. "G-Gan Ning?" her voice started to break apart. His bells were slightly heard from behind her.
His smile turned into a grimace of pain, "Hey, what are you doing here?" he asked. Her body trembled as she ran towards him, with falling tears.
"Gan Ning! You big idiot.." she complained as she tried to keep on smiling. His body was sore, and bleeding from the battle. She caught him just before he fell onto the rough terrain.
"I got a little carried away…" his voice weakened as he looked at her eyes. Those eyes that showed she loved to look at for a while was burning brightly.
"Why are you always like this? Can't you ever stop getting so worked up in a fight." she complained. "You always worry me, and it worries me even more when you say not too."
His hand slowly reached her soft cheek, and wiped the soft tears that ran down from her eyes. "You know, I've always wanted to say something to you." he said with a soft voice he never used before. Her eyes that were stilling flowing slowly with tears, looked at him. "I love you." he declared as he pulled her into a kiss. "I wanted to protect you…I wanted to become stronger. I just wanted to come back and see that smile you always had on." his voice started to fade little by little. His faint smile turned into a smirk as his eyes started to drift away.
"I-I love you too." she murmured as she mourned over him. Then she remembered that he always loved to see her smile. Smiling, and then kissing his cold cheeks, she decided to stay strong. She took a bell, and placed her necklace around his neck and continued to smile. Although the tears wouldn't stop running down, she wiped them away and thought of him.
"His life has already ended."
My first story, well short story. Anyways the quotes are english lyrics of the song Butterfly Lovers - Anson Hu. I love that song, and I wrote this while i was listening to that song in fact. Anyways, I hope you guys like it, so you can just rate, review, or just read it.
