Summary: Hermione instigates a game of tag. One that will result in lots or rolling down hills, stumbling over grass, and being pushed into a lake. Oh, the fun - but who will give first?

Tag, You're It

Hermione crept silently up behind him until she was just a few feet away. She could hear him chatting animatedly to Harry and Ron about the latest Quidditch game, and she smiled at their quiet banter over the best team. As he laughed and turned to look away from Harry and towards the lake, Hermione sprinted towards him, her footsteps thudding quietly against the ground before she lept onto his back.

She pressed herself tightly to his back and wrapped her arms gently around his neck. As if he had been waiting for it, Draco lifted his arms to secure her legs around his hips. He couldn't see the shock plastered on her face as her brow furrowed in confusion. The other boys were still talking, taking no notice of the couple beside them.

"Did you hear me? I could have sworn I was quiet. I thought -"

"No, I didn't hear you." Draco interrupted her before she could start one of her endless rants.

"Then how did you know it was me and not one of your ridiculous fangirls?"

"You mean you're not one of my ridiculous fangirls?" He teased. She lifted a hand to whack him lightly around the head, laughing at the almost imperceptible "ouch", before unwinding her arms to clench his shoulders with her fingers.

"Anyway, I've decided I don't care how you knew it was me. However, there was something I wanted to tell you..." Without warning, she threw herself off of him, landing lithely on her feet before sprinting down the hill towards the water. Casting a smirk over her shoulder, she finished with a shout as her feet continued to move beneath her.

"TAG! You're it!"

Draco stood in shock for a short second, watching his curly haired girlfriend get further away from him. After finally registering her final actions, a large grin spread across his face as he gave chase, his long legs eating up the distance between them quickly.

Harry and Ron stopped discussing the latest Quidditch broom to witness Draco tackle their best friend to the ground. The couple rolled further down the hill together, their laughter ringing out clearly underneath the warm autumn sun, before Draco pinned her hands to the grass beneath them. The laughter stopped as the pair kissed passionately, causing the boys to look away from their friends with a blush. Their attention was quickly drawn back to the pair however.

"TAG!" Draco's voice rose above the murmers of interested and humoured spectators. "Catch me if you can, love!" Draco laughed as he used his pet name for her, and they saw him running further towards the lake as Hermione struggled off the ground, smiling brightly as she sprinted after him.

"Bring it on, Draco!" She replied with a shout, and the boys chuckled at them, shaking their heads in amusement as the two lovers chased after one another. They had barely returned to their conversation when a heavy splash echoed in the air. Looking up once more, they could see a disgruntled Draco sitting in the shallow water near the edge, where Hermione was bent over at the waist in joyous laughter, clutching at her stomach with her arms.

"I caught you, lover!" She announced loudly, earning chuckles from those still watching.

"Oh, you are so going to get it now." His threat was almost a shout as he heaved himself out of the water, and Hermione squealed as she ran away once more, back up the hill towards the boys before seeming to remember somthing. She shouted a final word over her shoulder before she increased her speed, trying to get away from the now soaked Draco Malfoy.

"TAG!"
