"Don't talk to me."

"Come on, Seth. It's chocolate. Your favorite." Kendra pushed the cupcake a bit farther across the table, grinning.

"You're so mean. I'm disowning you as my sister." Seth stuck his nose in the air and scrunched up his nose. "Plus I bet your cupcake sucks."

"It wasn't that bad! You're being whiny."

"I freaked out and ran down the stairs in nothing but my boxers. It was pretty bad."

"Maybe a little bad. You looked ready to pass out," Kendra laughed. "Come on, what would you say? It's just a prank?"

Seth poked at the cupcake in front of him and rolled his eyes. "No more crying babies on festival nights. Ever."

"It wasn't even a baby. It was literally just a recording hidden in the drapes."

"No more crying baby recordings. I am not dealing with any more goblin things jumping through the window and giant centipedes. Those things were freaky."

"Fine. No more crying baby recordings." Kendra leaned back and stirred her coffee. "So long as you stop telling the fairies Bracken will kiss them if they help out on festival nights. They're starting to complain to me."

"...No promises."

"Then no promises on my end, either. Next time it'll be a baby doll under your bed!"
