Being There
There he sat again on the same hospital rooftop, just sitting there watching the sunrise, again thinking of the young woman below.
Why did she sacrifice her life for him, of course he knew the answer, she had confessed it all to him, all the feelings she had held back throughout the years.
Flashback~
He lay there on the rough ground with Pains chakra disruption blades holding him down.
Pain was about to deal the final devastating blow, when all of a sudden Hinata came throwing herself in front of him.
"I won't let you lay another finger on Naruto!"
Looking up her saw her standing there facing Pain, no this can't happen he couldn't allow fragile Hinata to be hurt.
"What're you doing here!" He screamed "Get out of here! You're no match...
"I know..." Hinata interrupted not taking her eyes of Pain "I'm...Just being selfish"
Struggling against the blades he felt panic rise in himself "What're you talking about!" eyes on her back silently praying of her to run away "What're you doing here! It's dangerous"
Breathing deeply "I'm here of my own free will." she replied.
He stopped struggling to focus his attention on her
"I used to always cry and give up..." She started "I nearly went the wrong way...
"But you...you showed me the right way." She remembered him never giving up
"I was always chasing you...wanting to overtake you...I just wanted to walk with you.
I wanted to be with you..."
He gasped never knowing Hinata to harbour such feelings for the hyperactive blonde shinobi.
"You changed me!
Your smile saved me.
So I'm not afraid to die protecting you!"
Still looking at Pain she said her final last words to him.
"Because I...love you.."
end flashback~
Jumping off the roof he landed on the windowsill looking into the hospital room.
Laying on the bed was his saviour, pale skin, long blueish hair and pale ivory eyelids that held the most beautiful pale lavender eyes in existence.
How could he have been so blind, all along he thought he was alone when he wasn't he had friends, lots of them and this shy creature wanted to be like him.
Him the guy who always said all the wrong things.
"I promise Hinata, I will be here when you awake" he mummered."I'll protect YOU"
Just then the room door opened revealing the blonde Hokage Lady Tsunade.
"Naruto your here again, seriously she's fine she will wake up soon, don't worry so bloody much"
"I know granny Tsunade" he replied smiling "But I'm not going to give up on her, she saved me I owe her my life, so I'll stay here until she wakes".
Walking over to her bedside her took the seat next to her.
When did he suddenly get so mature? Tsunade wondered.

A/N : Aha I wrote this really quickly and I haven't wrote a story in ages, so please forgive me.
I read the manga and thought that Hinata's sacrifice was so sweet and touching.
Just to inform everyone that I know that Hinata doesn't die so please no one needs to remind me of that.
