Oops I actually really love this ship more than I should. More people should write it because I've read literally all of the existing fics.
Anyways, this is inspired by a time I was bussing home from college and there was a guy who had reddish hair and was wearing something similar to Reno's clothes and had similar body language, and his car was being hooked up to a towtruck by a guy who looked like Rude. It was too perfect, I let the idea sit in my head for about a week and then finally wrote it~
Reno leaned against the barrier dividing the two sections of the road, phone pressed to his ear, reassuring Kadaj that he was still on his way, but he d be a little delayed.
The now familiar tow-truck pulled up, and he waved as Rude got out of the vehicle, continuing his phone conversation. Covering the mouthpiece on his cellphone as Rude walked over to hook up his car to the towing mechanism, Reno hopped down off the barrier.
"Hey Rude, thanks so much for coming, man. I'm on the way to pick 'daj up from work and I'm already almost late, so it's fantastic that you could come get me!"
He simply nodded, sighing, going back to hooking up Reno's clunky old Saturn, making sure not to knock off one of the side windows.
"Yeah, yeah, don't worry, babe. I'll be there as fast as I can, Rude's just hooking up my car no-"
Rude walked over and tugged his phone out of his hand.
"Kadaj? Tell your boyfriend to buy a new car already."
And he handed it back, gesturing for Reno to get in the passenger side of the tow-truck, smirking slightly at the gaping fish look he had acquired. On the other end of the phone there was stifled laughter.
