READ!: This is after the war between Drago and his armada, and the Berkians (I think that's what you call them?) won, and finally Hiccup and Astrid are reunited with each other after a long battle to the death for some. (some Berk warriors died but none of the main characters did!) Anyway enjoy! Be safe.
"Astrid, you're safe! You're okay!" Hiccup said through heavy breaths, staring lovingly into her eyes. He took another long breath of relief as he held her hands in his, squeezing them slightly, embracing the moment.
She squeezed his hands back, capturing them in a tighter hold, "Hiccup" She took this moment to move his hands around her and move her hands around his neck, holding him, embracing him, never wanting to let go again.
The battle was long and fierce, dragon fighting man, man fighting dragon, dragons and man together as one, battling it out to the death. Luckily only a few minor injuries where graced upon their skin, definitely going to leave scares.
As they parted slightly Astrid took her hand and ran a finger across the small jagged cut on Hiccups upper cheek. He hardly winced at her fingers and closed his eyes welcoming the feeling of her touch. He held her tighter when her hand left his cheek and slid down to his neck. He opened his eyes and was met with her beautiful diamond eyes, sparkling as she gazed in his with love.
Soon the gap between them closed and their lips met with so much passion and love, a little sloppier than their friends would have liked to of witnessed but they didn't care, they watched the two young lovers kiss like they haven't seen each other in years.
Hiccups arms wrapped tightly around Astrid's waist, her fingers tangled in his hair, it was the perfect kiss, but something sparked in Hiccup and he pulled away, their lips making a popping noise as the very passionate kiss ended.
Astrid stood there, hands held tightly in his, with a confused look on her face. But hiccup soon relived all her confusion with two simple words, "marry me" He said in a breathy voice, still trying to catch his breath from the kiss they just shared.
Astrid was shocked. Hiccup got down on one knee (the proper way to propose) and asked again, almost laughing at the giant smile that was on her face.
"Astrid Hofferson, will you do the honor of marrying me?"
Astrid was on the verge of tears, her eyes burning she tried to blink them back, but a tear or two fell upon her checks. "Yes!" she said, and some more tears fell. Right when Hiccup stood Astrid's lips where back on his! Hoots and hollers where herd from the crowd, the cheering of dragons and Vikings filled the skies! They were safe.
