Chapter 1: I need Sonny!

Chad's P.O.V

Look, I know I screwed up. I royally screwed up. I hurt Sonny too much, I don't get another chance. Why did I ever ask for a recount of those stupid votes?! But I need to show her how much she means to me. Unfortunately, that means I need to find Sonny. I never really noticed until now, but the Randoms really know how to close ranks. Any time I try to get into Tawni and Sonny's room, I run into a variety of obstacles. Zora seems to have taken up residence in the air vents. When they aren't performing or rehearsing, that spunky little 12 year old is flat on her stomach reading a comic in the vents.

If I try to knock or sneak into the room (I learned how to pick a lot- episode 7 of "Mackenzie Falls") Tawni is ALWAYS there. I'm starting to think the little princess has moved into the room. And sadly, she's an extremely light sleeper. I never get to see Sonny in the chair I've always seen her in. I can't seem to get anywhere close to her.

If I try to talk to her during lunch, she'll either leave as soon as she sees me, or those to idiots, Nico and Grady will threaten to pummel me into the ground. Not that I couldn't take them, but I do have an image to maintain. Chad Dylan Cooper does not get into fist fights. That was part of the reason I'd made that deal with Chazz ages back. But anyway, I can never get my ex-girlfriend alone.

Once, when I was getting ready to start rehearsals for the "Falls", I bumped into Tawni.

"What are you doing here?" I asked, totally astonished. I had been under the impression that the "So Random!" cast would be icing me out forever. Maybe Sonny was ready to talk to me?

"Leave Sonny alone." Tawni had responded dully. But I could still hear the old self-obsessed voice just underneath. It was a tone that expected to be obeyed.

"How can I?" I had hissed, feeling the uncontrollable frustration bubbling in my stomach. "I need to talk to her! I just need to see her!" Tawni's face darkened, her arrogance finally reappearing. For some reason, this made me feel better.

"And I need a 5 star restaurant in my bedroom, but that's not going to happen either!" She shot at me, her words stinging. "The closest you're going to get to Sonny, is seeing her on the show! Now back off, or I'll sue you for harassment!"

"You can't sue me! You're not the person I want to see!" I spat angrily, running a hand through my golden-brown hair.

"I can complain to Mr. Condor." She smirked easily. That stopped me. If Mr. Condor bothered to listen, I might get banned from the prop house area where Sonny and her fellow cast members hung out. That would mean I would have NO chance of seeing my love. I wasn't totally sure if she was bluffing or not. I really hope she's bluffing. Happy that she seemed to have made her point, Tawni trotted off, her golden high heels clicking on the floor.

"I'll see her if I want to!" I hollered after her, desperate to get the last word in. Without turning around or stopping, Tawni responded.

"Back off of Sonny, you egotistical moron!"
