Alice POV
It was about a month after Renesemee was born, most people have taken to calling her Nessie, a nickname give to her by the mutt that insists on staying with us, cause he imprinted on my niece. Filthy animal wont leave. Don't get me wrong I have nothing against Jake, he is just making the whole house reek, I am never going to get that smell out of my close. Oh an the furniture. We are going to have to replace it all. I really liked the look they gave the house to.
"Don't act like you aren't going to love any chance to go shopping, Alice" Edward says obviously having read my thoughts.
"And don't you act like you like that retched smell anymore then I do. Edward" even though he is right I will take any opportunity to go shopping. Since Bella refuses to go shopping with me, she wont leave Nessie's side for even one small shopping trip.
"One small shopping trip to you takes more then 4 hours" Bella jumped into the conversation.
Stupid power stealing vampire
"I do not steal powers Alice, and its not my fault I can use any vampires power near me." Bella defended herself
Whatever stay out of my head. And I mentally stuck my tongue out at her. To show I was teasing.
"Yeah but you, unlike Edward can choose to block out any ones thoughts. You can steal our powers and manipulate then however you please. So in turn it is you fault that you read my mind cause you did it on purpose." I said with a nod in her direction.
"its not like you didn't use your power to your advantage when I was human." Again defending herself
I sighed in defeat she had a point.
"and besides I don't have my power completely under control, I cant tune people out yet. Not always anyway. I don't see how you can stand hearing peoples toughts ALL the time, Edward, it is going to drive me mad." Bella said turning to a now grinning Edward.
Bella started to giggle and I felt that I was missing out on something rather important. "its not fair! You guys cant have mental conversations like that when I am standing right here." I pouted a little bit for effect
Bella just raised her eyebrows at me and then Edward started to laugh also.
"I'm gonna go find Jasper now, I don't like either of you" then I proceeded to pretend to pout and stomp out the door. When I got outside I herd Edward and Bella double over in laughter. I smiled at how amusing I could be to them sometimes.
Then I left I really did need to talk to Jasper, and I pretty sure my little act had fooled Bella and Edward. They had no idea what was coming. I grinned in satisfaction.
