RAVEN'S POV

Death is a powerful thing but you can't be afraid, fear will get you no where, when God takes you or some one you love away you must let go, that's what I kept telling my self. Azar had died in her sleep last night. She practicly raised me, trained me too use my powers, I will miss her so much. I don't know how long I sat on the roof staring out at the ocean with tears sliding down my cheeks, but I'm guessing it was a few hours because it was a while before I felt Beast Boy's energy behind me.

"Hey Rae we were looking for you every where." He said in his nomal cheery voice.

"Not every where" I spoke while wiping the tears away.

"Rae, is something wrong?" Damn it.

"No, why would something be wrong?" I asked too quickly.

"Well first you're not looking at me, second I smell salt water and it's not the ocean, and third you didn't correct me when I called you Rae." He made good points.

"I'm just having an off day is all," hoping he would get that I don't want to talk about it. He didn't.

"Why?"

"Beast boy can we not talk about this right now?"

"Oh well uh...what do you want to do?"

"Let's get something to eat," I sighed, I knew all too well that he wasn't going to leave me alone any time soon.

"Okay maybe you could try some tofu." He seemed to perk up a little at the mention of fake meat.

"No." I deadpaned.

"Fine."

As we walked down the stairs he told me a few bad jokes but I said nothing. When we got to the kitchen everyone was gathered around the kitchen island talking.

"Hey guys, I found Raven." Beast boy said.

"Oh friend Raven where were you?" Starfire asked while hugging me.

Robin must have noticed me turning purple, "Star let's let Raven breathe."

"I am sorry Raven."

"So Rae, where were ya?" Cyborg questioned.

"I was on the roof." I said making my way the cupboard.

"Raven," Cyborg started, "are your eyes red?" I stoped what I was doing and tried being casual, tried being the key word.

"No, I don't know what your talking about."

"Raven have you been crying?" Robin asked.

"That's ridiculous why would I be crying?" I turned my face into a happy expresstion when I said this, whitch apperantly was a mistake because they all stared at me like I'd grown a second head and started singing 'God save the queen'.

"Okay, so maybe I cried a liltle bit."

"Do you want to talk about it?"

"No."

"Please friend Raven on my planet every month everyone in the house gathers around the fufreban and talks about what has upset them." Starfire said.

"Star has a point Raven it's better to let these things out." I sighed at that, Robin was useing that annoying 'I'm always right so spill your guts' voice.

"Fine, you guys know how I always talk about Azar?"

Beast boy was the one to answer, "Yeah, you always say she's the most awsome person ever and the one who thought you how to use you powers." This made me tear up a bit.

"Well, she past on last night."

Everyone's faces turned sad and sympethic.

"Raven, is there anything we can do for you?" Robin asked

"Not right now but could you guys stay with me with me tonight."

Everyone agreed almost instantly and Cyborg went to go get sleeping bags for our camp out in the living room.

"So Raven how did she die?" Beast Boy asked.

"Beast Boy that's in- " "No Robin it's okay she died of old age, it was very peaceful actually."

"Oh , I'm really sorry."

"Thanks, Beast Boy."
