A drabble for the Photos challenge on xoxLewrahxox's forum.
That one isn't really good honestly... It was cut down to 100 words, and it bled and wept and now it looks victorious and scarred and messy ^^
Photos
Write a 100-word or 500-word chapter that features a photo and someone's reaction to it. It could be either the photo being taken or being looked at.
You can pick a photo on Google or imagine it, as you like.
They're all equals here, somehow. They're alone, all of them.
They should be alike. He is different.
He's something else. Superior. The things he does scare them. They yell, they strike. His power strikes back.
They have one thing he doesn't: faces to remember.
He doesn't know how it is possible. For everyone living here, someone found a photo somewhere and tucked it in with the child before sending them away.
Everyone but him.
They taunt, and they grin. Then they scream. Later, he touches things they had, that are now his. But never photos. The photos burn.
He grins.
