"Seasick?"
"Nope, I'm fine." I smiled at him.
I smiled. Like I always do.
"Okay then." Sazh exclaimed as he walked into Nautilus, the city of dreams.
"The city of dreams, huh?"
How I hated my dreams.
How I dreaded going to sleep at night, because as soon as I closed my eyes, everything would come to slap me back in the face. The things I did wrong, things I was meant to do, the lives I had ruined.
The lives I had ruined.
And when I woke up, tears would be streaming down my face.
People already harboured a fate worse then death itself because of me.
Pssh, one was already in crystal stasis because of me.
I ran away from all of this, put on a big smile, and acted is if nothing happened.
And wanted it to stay that way forever. But nothing ever does. Everything has to change.
"How long could I keep this up?"
My face fell. The smile gone. "Soon", I thought. Soon, everything would come spilling out. And everyone would know.
But then I would run away again. And put on a big smile.
And act as if nothing happened.
"What's wrong?"
"Oh, nothing!"
"There could be an announcement about the others on the big screen over in the center. Let's check it out."
"Yeah!"
I skipped after Sazh. And put on a big smile.
Like always.
