Tohru sat on the floor of the place she had thought of as home for many years. Sad as
it had been to leave the place that she and Kyo-kun had moved to she felt relieved
coming back to this place. The room that she used to call her own still felt like it
belonged to her.
Kyo had insisted coming back here because it held special memories for the both of
them. Those days spent chatting, laughing, crying, or most commonly arguing seemed to
echo against the very being of the place. To Tohru this would always be home.
Slowly she unpacked hoping that her infantile son wasn't making mischief while she
was busy. Kyo had offered to keep an eye on him but Tohru insisted he visit the main
house to pay regards to Akito and Shigure. No one had said that it wouldn't hurt having
to accept Akito after what she did but Tohru sincerely liked her. Also deep in her heart
Tohru knew Kyo missed Shigure.
Tohru went downstairs and noticed her son had opened a package of nato and was half
eating and half playing with it. Tohru rushed to help feed him. It was amazing how he
had the same fiery orange eyes as her beloved Kyo-kun. He made little bubbly noises that
brought a smile to Tohru's kind face. Slowly she cleaned up the mess and waited for Kyo
to come home.
It was amazing how the kitchen was cleaner now then it had ever been in all the years
that Shigure had owned it. Tohru fondly remembered how dirty the place had been when
she was first invited to stay with him and Yuki. Now the kitchen was spotless and new.
Just as Tohru was watching the sunset on the back porch with her son by her side Kyo
came home. Tohru embraced him for quite some time with no words passing between
them. "Kyo-Kun" Tohru muttered. Kyo and Tohru sat watching the night sky. The only
thing Tohru could think about was how they weren't on the roof. Now that Kyo wasn't
cursed with the spirit of the cat he did not favor high places the way he used too.
Only time could tell how well they would do now that they had come back to their
house of dreams. They had met here under the worst of circumstances and for all the right
reasons. The stars above them called to their destinies; lives forever intertwined. "A
shooting star!"
