A/N: Ha! Another one-shot, am I annoying you guys yet? I mean, anyone who's watching for chapter stories must just hate me right now. Durrr, sorry 'bout that? Also, I know things like this have been done before, I do but, I wanted my own. So yup, Remus' mom being a worry wort enjoy. Reviews are loved, yada yada yada...

I own none of these characters.

It was late at night, the light of the moon-not full, but close-shone on the couple in bed. The man was fast asleep, his arms around a woman. Her blue eyes were open, staring blankly at the wall. She wore a worried frown on her rather pretty face. Thoughts raced rough her head.

'Was he going o be alright?'

'Was it going to hurt?',

'What if it tears his small, thin body and he dies?'

Mary Lupin nearly sobbed at the thought of her Remus and his...condition. She still wasn't used to it. It's only been a month since the attack. As a mother, she could never forget the night Remus snuck out of the house. She went to get a book from downstairs to read to him before bed. When she came back to his room his window was opened. She yelled for her husband and then, the moment she'd never forget. Remus' loud scream echoed from outside.

Mary slipped out of John's arm and into the hallway. She tiptoed into her son's room. A small smile crossed her face as she sat herself gingerly on his bed. He looked so innocent and sweet, curled under the blanket with a teddy bear clutched to his chest. She couldn't, wouldn't believe Remus would turn into a deadly magical creature once a month. It just couldn't be.

Remus made a little whimper and tossed in his sleep. His mother pulled the boy toward her. She brushed his sandy brown hair away from his face. His big blue-green eyes opened and looked up at his mom. Mary scooted over and pulled a shaky Remus on top of her lap. He buried his head in the crook of her neck.

"It's okay Remus, everything will be okay." She shushed the shaking seven year old, rocking gently.

"Mary?" John Lupin asked peering into the room. He looked at the mother and son sleeping soundly and grinned. Shaking his head and kissing each of them on the forehead before he snuck out of the room.
