He Will Never Say It Back

Pairing (well kinda pairing): Lily Luna P./ Teddy L.
She sees him and her heart leaps.
But his stays regular, not as excited as she is.
She knows this and sighs, but running to meet him all the same when she leaps off the train.
For what 18 year old will fall for a 12 year old?
She loves him so much, her heart feels like it could break.
His name runs in her veins and she dreams of him when she sleeps.
Is it bordering on obsession?
Maybe, but it cannot be helped.
She is already too deeply in love with that colorchanging hair and crooked smile.
She sees him on the holidays and tries to spend every waking moment with him.
(You even fall asleep talking to him once because you stayed up so late in you desperation to be with him.)
But it is not to be.
Because soon into her fifth year, something changes.
Now there is a new girl.
A prettier girl.
An older girl.
She sees them whispering together one night and you hear HER whisper, "I love you."
For one heart stopping moment, you wait with bated breath, as you wait for his reply.
But he just smiles, and her fast beating heart slows a little.
When he is about to leave for the night, she decides to throw herself out and tries it too.
"I love you." she whispers. And waits with bated breath for the second time that night.
He reaches out, and her already beating heart pounds faster.
His hand touches her hair in a familiar gesture, and her heart shatters.
He teasingly ruffles her hair, and sails out the door, the GIRL on his arm.
For days on end, she can think of nothing but HIM.
Finally the day comes when she gets to see him again, and she leaps off the train eagerly, looking for that familiar mop of hair, not sure what color to look for today.
She sees it, magenta today, but stops short when she sees the GIRL next to him.
Her step becomes slower, more cautious, and even when she stops in front of them, they don't notice her. They are too wrapped up in what they are doing.
"I love you." the GIRL says.
But she is confident this time that he will not answer.
But as she watches and listens... "I love you too." he whispers back.
And her world is shattered.
"I love you." she feels like screaming to the whole world.
But she doesn't.
Because He Will Never Say It Back.
Wow, I just realized how depressing this was. It was also written at like 3 in the morning after my best friend called me and told me that her boyfriend called her and dumped her OVER THE PHONE!
I was just feeling so sad for her, and I didn't feel like crying, so I came here, and typed up the first sentence that came into my head... and this is what came out of it.
Sorry for any grammar or spelling messups, again I say this was written at like 3 in the morning when I was trying my hardest not to cry or chuck my laptop at the nearest wall=) (even though I rather like the way it came out, even if I wasn'y fully paying attention to what I was typing...)
R&R and I will love you forever! I also want suggestions for other pairings cuz I love doing random one-shots=) ask me and I will do some with any pairings. As long as it isnt snape/hermione (snape/ANYONE actually) because those shippers are cookoo for coco puffs... bybye=) but i do love snape very much so don't get me wrong there=D
