Summary: A harmless questions makes Sam rethink his place in the Winchester family. Sam angst. Brotherly Dean. Fatherly John.
A/N: Reading other stories makes you come up with theories of your own; this is just one of mine. Oh, I need a beta reader! :3
It's in the Blood
This morning was like every other morning; wake up to the sounds of rock, shower, brush teeth, comb hair and head to school. Sam just wished that every morning was like that, but he didn't have that luxury.
Today the family came back from hunting another werewolf; and with only an hour till school started the youngest Winchester had to rush to get there on time.
Being seventeen these years in high school is important to Sam, in the back of his mind he knew in a year he'll be able to get away from his hectic lifestyle for a more routine one. He would never voice this fact to his family, not if he wanted to get disowned. Sam just wanted to wait for the perfect time; right now was not that time.
So he rushed Dean to drive him school, and with only five minutes left he frantically dragged his older brother to his car. The car was rewarded to Dean on eighteenth birthday. Now twenty-one, he had all the time to take Sam to school; him now being in school and all. Sam couldn't help but think that his older brother's brain was turning into mush from the lack of education. But he never voiced that either.
As the two brothers headed out the door, their father called to them, "Sam, be back from school right after it's over, no later!"
"Yes sir!" Sam called back, and walked toward the car; to the passenger side.
He couldn't help but wonder why his father wanted him home right after school, usually he gave him to time for after school activities even though their lifestyle got in the way.
It was like Dean was reading his mind; because he answered it, "Dad, just has a new hunt…." Dean trailed on.
"Oh, what are we hunting" Sam couldn't help but be curious, even if there was only a minute before he was late for school.
"Just another salt and burn, a ghost in Wisconsin giving some civilians some trouble"
"Oh…"
Mistaking the 'oh' for 'oh another salt and burn, again' Dean couldn't help but add, "Yeah I know what you mean, another one…."
Before Sam could answer Dean was already at the school, and with only seconds left, the youngest Winchester ran his way to homeroom.
It was amazing that the teacher didn't catch him, making his way to his desk with a grin on his face. Sam was happy; for the first time in a long while he was able to make it to his seat without being caught.
Thomas Dike; a fellow student saw the act of Winchester sneaking his way to his desk. A mixed of emotions were plastered on his face; the prominent one being anger. Anger; for the fact that once again Sam Winchester pulled a fast one at the expanse of the teacher and his classmates.
Where does Sam Winchester get off from being the teacher's pet? He's just the new kid…..
A/N: this is just an idea that popped into my head...do you think I should continue it?
