It was a dark night and a scruffy Sonny Corinthos was making sure things were cool at his restaurant. Jason Morgan comes into the place to see Sonny. The two have been best friends for a long time but that friendship was about to take a toll. Sonny was trying to put things aside between him and Lorenzo Alcazar to build a partnership. The two were looking into opening a hotel and casino in Port Charles. They were trying to put their differences aside about Carly to do that. Jason Morgan wasn't sure he could be on the same page with Lorenzo but he tried for Carly and Sonny's sake. Carly was dating Lorenzo and Sonny was single as so was Jason who was now watching Sam spend time with Drew. Things would never be the same with Lorenzo in the mix and now Julian Jerome was trying to intervene in between the relationship. Lorenzo decided to hire Julian as a hitman but was Julian ready to get back into the Mob World. He had wronged Alexis and lost her what if he found happiness with someone else. Would his mob life interfere with a relationship he was trying to pursue. Jason comes to meet Sonny at his restaurant and Sonny starts going over the details of the hotel and casino. Jason was in but still wasn't sure if he was ready to work alongside Julian and Lorenzo.
"Look I know how you feel about Lorenzo and Julian but just think of it as you helping me out." Sonny says.
"I'll try to think of it like that but I still don't see the need to team up with Lorenzo Alcazar he's supposed to be our enemy. I know he's dating Carly and she swears up and down that he's now cool and everything but I just don't trust the guy. Then you got Julian Jerome whose also you know shady." Jason explains.
Sonny understood how Jason felt but everything was going to be okay. Jax didn't like this idea he was afraid of what it would do to Metrocourt and he was not okay with Carly allowing it.
"You need to have your priorities straight The Metrocourt comes first." Jax says.
Jax was dating Brenda Barrett and they were on their way to an engagement but Jax also had a thing for Carly. Brenda couldn't stay away from Sonny her former flame and Jax knew that. He however knew Carly was dating Lorenzo Alcazar and didn't pursue things with Carly further. He however was dead serious about being in competition with Sonny and Lorenzo for best hotel in Port Charles. Jax was determined to have Metrocourt at the top of the hotel list but everyone in Port Charles was looking forward to this Mob infested Hotel and Casino called "The Palace" Jax wanted to take Sonny down in any way he could but how would he. A new woman named Kim Nero came to town and she had a thing for Julian but Lorenzo found himself liking her true but he was devoted to Carly. Kim made friends with Ava Jerome and Carly Benson even though the two hated each other would Kim be the one to bring the two together.
"Hey Charlie." Kim says.
"Hey Kim." Julian replies.
"I heard you are working for Lorenzo Alcazar he's a very dangerous guy." Kim says.
"Oh you don't have to worry I will be careful." Julian replies.
"I can't wait for this project you all are working on especially Sonny I can see some good coming out of this maybe a friendship." Kim says.
"Oh a friendship with Sonny if that's even possible." Julian replies.
"I think it's possible who knows you could find yourself on Sonny's good side. Now that you know Sam is not your daughter maybe you and I could work on kids of our own." Kim says.
Julian and Kim were so into each other but Lorenzo needed Julian at Sonny's restaurant and Julian ends up leaving. Dante Falconeri Sonny's son had broken up with Lulu and needed something to do he was resigning from being a Police detective to helping Sonny with this whole restaurant business. Sonny had two son's the other was Juan Santiago he wanted to work at The Palace. Sonny had a brother named Rick Lansing who was secretively onto something regarding Lily Riveria Corinthos he wanted his brother's ex-wife for himself was she really dead. Has Lily been living a life away from Sonny in hope's to come back to him but suddenly finds herself in the arms of his brother. Rick was a lawyer and Jax needed him to help keep Metrocourt secure. Rick didn't want to work for Jax so Jax get's Alexis to help him.
"Are you thinking about Julian?" Jax asks.
"Why can't I stop thinking about Julian he's not Sam's father and Sam is not my daughter. We have no connections whatsoever yet I keep thinking about him." Alexis says.
"He's dating Kim Nero you know." Jax replies.
"Yes I know and she's able to put his past in the past but I can't. I can't forgive him but I see him as a friend. Did you hear of his latest with Lorenzo Alcazar apparantly he doesn't want Charlie's Pub anymore." Alexis explains.
"Oh I'm going to make sure that The Palace is shut down Metro Court is going to come out on top as the reigning hotel in Port Charles." Jax says.
While Jax was busy with Alexis the beloved Brenda goes to see Sonny and making sure this is something he wants to do. She felt bad for Jason she knew how much he loved Sam. Brenda was wondering if she could do something. Jason however didn't want Brenda's help but Brenda didn't care she was going to help Jason through this. How many times has Jason helped her she was going to return the favor.
"Let me help you Jason. How many times have you helped me." Brenda says.
"Okay Brenda you can help but if…." Jason tries to say but Brenda interrupts.
"But nothing you will let me help you." Brenda replies.
It was time to discuss business as Lorenzo and Julian arrive and Brenda ends up leaving the four mobster's end up talking about The Palace.
