Disclaimer: I've spent a good chunk of the afternoon popping out oneshots, but that still doesn't mean I own.

Ludmila knew that the idea was simply insane.

Ludmila knew that crossing the war-torn country in her small car to reach her fiancé was probably as close to sheer suicide as you could possibly get.

Every inch of her said it was stupid and reckless. Her friends thought it was stupid and reckless. Her professors thought it was stupid and reckless. Hell, even her fiancé would have said it was stupid and reckless and that he wasn't worth it.

But even though it was probably the most stupid thing she had ever done, she was still going. Because although she knew that Toscha was probably fine, that the reason she hadn't heard from him was because the ongoing war meant that post coming out of Emmeria and Estovakia had all but ceased, she was sick and tired of waiting and it was driving her crazy just waiting without any word from him and she had to do something, anything rather than sit and wait. And so, with a quick look out over her University campus (A beautiful place with a forest on its doorstep and black marble buildings.) she sat down in her car and drove away.
