An interview with the author Doc Boy

Hi. I'm John Cohen and I will be interviewing a fanfiction author known as Doc Boy about his career here at

J: "Good evening Doc Boy"

D: "Good evening John"

J: "First of all I want to thank you for letting me interview you"

D: "Thank you"

J: "Right. First I would like to ask you, what made you decide to join ?"

D: "Well it started in the spring of 2009. I just suddenly had this idea of searching for a website where I could write fanfiction stories about Ben and Gwen and it brought me to the website where I write stories today"

J: "How did you know what fanfiction is back then? It's not a very common term?"

D: "Well when I was in elementary school, I read in the Israeli kids website that they had a corner where kids can send them ff stories and I tried sending them one but it wasn't published. But I did write ff stories as a hobby, even before I know that, that's what they were called"

J: "You mentioned you sent the Israeli kids channel website an idea for a fic. Could you tell me what it was about?"

D: "I don't remember"

J: "I see. So what made you like the Ben and Gwen paring?"

D: "I don't quite recall. I guess I just got to liking it…"

J: "I see. I noticed that your stories are mostly romance and that it is very important to you that Ben and Gwen stay together no matter what. Could you comment on that?"

D: "Well, the thing is I don't like one sided love stories, where one half of the paring dies or at least stays dead. So that's why I always have one of them brought back somehow if need be. If I will make a story about them that has death in it, and they stay dead, it will be a story where they both die and they will be together in the afterlife. But at this point I don't plan to do so because I still find it to be too sad and tragic but maybe someday"

J: "I also noticed that you are getting close to your 50th story. Do you have any plans for this special occasion?"

D: "Well I can't tell you exactly what it is because it's a surprise, but I hope it will be something big. I hope to publish it sometime soon."

J: "well I'm looking forward to seeing what it is"

D: "glad to hear it"

J: "on another note, what other fanfictions do you have planned now?"

D: "Well for a while now i wanted to write a fic about the movie Forest Gump because I didn't like the way it ended so I would write an alternate ending for it. The thing is I didn't watch the movie in a long time and I'm not sure if it even has a category on the site. So I will have to check that out if I really want to do it. I also plan to write a fic or a few fics about Ben and Gwen and continue my unfinished stories. I also wanted to write a Harry Potter fic but didn't get to doing it until recently for reasons that I mentioned in that story. I also might write another fic about the movie Titanic and possibly another fic or a few about Harry Potter (which is unlikely) but other than that I don't think I have anything planned…"

D: "Thank you John"
