Ash and Brock along with their two new companions Claire and her younger sister Dana, were strolling around Empaz town in the region of Vetac. Ash had met Claire in his home town. They were childhood friends. Since they wanted to catch up on their past adventures, they decided to travel around the Vetac Region. Claire brought her younger sister Dana along with them. They also met Brock along the way.
Brock and Dana went to get some groceries, so they left Ash & Claire to walk around the city. "So after battling your cousin Gary, I decided to head to the Sinnoh Region," Ash had finished. Ash was telling Claire about his journey through the Hoenn Region. "Wow," said Claire, "you probably didn't even take a break just to relax with your mom did you?" Ash chuckled nervously. "Just like when we were younger," Claire said while shaking her head.
It was really humid that day. Ash and Claire walked a little while longer, and every step he took he felt hotter than before. "Man," Ash groaned ,"I'm really thirsty." Claire giggled and rolled her eyes at how Ash was being all dramatic with it. "Ok," she said, "We get something to drink." They found a soda shop and since the owner knew how hot it was, he gave them two cups of water on the house. They each had a few ice cubes in them. They gladly thanked him, and went back outside. They stood near a bench near the curb of the shop. Ash quickly drank the water like there was no tomorrow. Then all of a sudden ash sprang up and started clutching his neck. He was choking on an ice cube. Claire looked at him an smirked. "Serves you right for drinking that water too fast." But when she noticed that ash wasn't recovering she started to worry. "Ash," she asked in a concerned voice. Ash started to cough up the ice cube. He then grabbed Claire shirt collar. "Ash!? What are you doi…" Ash stopped her sentence. He smashed his lips against hers. He the spit up the ice cube into Claire's mouth. The ice cube melted in Claire's mouth. Claire was not only disgusted about what he just did, but she was kind of happy that he kissed her.
They stared into each other's eyes; both in disbelief about what Ash had just done. Ash then remembered that he had his hands still clutched to Claire's collar. "Sorry," just said as he quickly released her collar. He then wiped his mouth with a napkin that was given to him at the shop. He then turned around and saw Claire blushing madly about that disturbing event. Ash then started to walk off. How could he have done something so disgusting? He thought that Claire wouldn't have wanted to talk to him ever again. He was wrong. He felt some one grab his hand and weave through his fingers. He looked to see Claire with a smile on her face. She knew he didn't mean it. To Ash Claire's smile meant that she forgave him. " So ,"she started, "What happened in Sinnoh?" Ash Smiled. They then casually strolled back to meet up with Brock & Dana, holding hands as Ash told Claire about his journey through Sinnoh.
