Meeting Irene Adler

I am a simple man who likes to enjoy the warmth of the sun and the soft touch of the rain, and all other pleasures the life may bring to the fullest.

I am a modern-day bronze-age European nomad. I go to work like my ancestors were going hunting, because I have to, and not make carrier or any such nonsense.

Or as Bukowski said it: "How in the hell could a man enjoy being awakened at 8:30 a.m. (I wake at 6:30) by an alarm clock, leap out of bed, dress, force-feed, shit, piss, brush teeth and hair, and fight traffic to get to a place where essentially you made lots of money for somebody else and were asked to be grateful for the opportunity to do so? "

I am Uomo del Sud, Zorba the Greek, proudly wearing my Slavic/Turkish/Mediterranean heritage.

And though I enjoy female beauty greatly, I prefer remaining a lone wolf than engaging a relationship with a wrong kind of woman.

And trust me, majority of pretty ladies that could cross my way are most likely looking for realization of their Swiss dream of a lodge in Gstaad, and are not interested in wasting their time on Zorba the Greek.

Which is why for some time already, I had made a sigh and accepted my lonely destiny.

That is, until she came along.

As you may suspect, my weakness is Mediterranean/Arabic/Oriental/Latin brunette. And suddenly, one day in June or July last year, as I were completely concentrated on my work, this Nicole Scherzinger-level beauty entered our company premisses, making me quote Rick: "... in all the towns in all the world...".

And what do you know, she was a colleague to be...

We had a great contact right from the start. Up to that point, whenever I was trying to engage a woman was like storming a bloody fortress. With her it is like clearly seeing the road in front of me. So I did the only sensible thing, opened my heart and let destiny do her thing as I try my best to do the right thing and not the bad thing.

I learnt that she is a woman from my home country, with Southern temperament, hard-working, etc. etc.

We take coffee breaks and lunches together. We had some outings.

However, we are still in the good-friends zone.

Nevertheless, there is one thing I know: Charles, when the drop-dead gorgeous Irene Adler is waiting for you, every day is a sunshine.
