King Micheal, brother of the deposed King Logan, the saviour of Albion and the Tyrant King of Albion looked out over his balcony with an expression of distaste.

"All that work, all that suffering, all that destruction," he murmured to himself as he watched the smoke rise from the chimneys and the children walk into work with their shoulders slumped forward and the endless sounds of industry going on in the background, all saved because of him and his tyranny. But now the Crawler were defeated and now it was time for change.

"The people are ready for you now sire," Lazlo said, bringing him out of his reverie and King Micheal shook himself. When he'd started his revolution, he'd considered himself to be a fair, honourable man who kept his word. Honour and fairness had gone out of the window when he had become king, abandoning his promises like so many leaves on the wind in a desperate race to be ready in time, a desperate race that had worked.

"Thank you Lazlo," he said quietly and he took a deep breath. Preparing for the revolution had been a tough journey. So too, had been preparing for the Crawler, but he had taken on those journey's and succeeded. It still didn't make this next step any easier. Pulling himself up to his full height, he walked through the double doors onto his balcony and took a deep breath as he looked down on the crowds gathered before him.

"My People," he began, projecting his voice out towards the crowds. Somewhere in the corner of his eye he could see his brother Logan and Page looking at him curiously and he felt bolstered by their presence. To his other side, Kaylin stood wearing her customary frown that had settled on her face ever since he had betrayed Aurora

"Just over a year ago, you overthrew my brother and placed me on the throne in the hope and promise of a better future, a future free from the tyranny my brother had come to place on you.

And yet we did not know of the reasons for his tyranny at the time. We thought that he was a greedy, even evil, tyrant of old. We did not know of the Crawler threat, or their inevitable arrival on our shores. And so when the truth came to light, I broke every promise I made," he paused and nodded briefly at Kaylin and Page. "I turned Aurora into a source of money, brought back child labour. I ripped open the mountains of the Dwellers and turned Mourningwood into a dumping ground for Bowerstone's sewage."

He paused for a moment, looked downwards and shook his head, before looking up again and continuing.

"I have done all this and more in a desperate race. A desperate race for the survival of Albion and its people against a threat that is greater than any this country has known before. Greater than the Spire, greater than the fall of the Old Kingdom and far beyond anything we could have imagined.

But now the threat is gone, the Crawler defeated and Albion is safe. Now is the time to rebuild, to repair, to reform. And reform we will. The desperate need for money to finance the army is no longer needed and now is the time to build a better future for Albion.

I will end child labour, free the Aurorans from their slavery, open the Brightwall Academy to all and so much more," he paused and gave his audience a sincere look. "We WILL become a better place, a better world and a better future and I promise you this, my people. I WILL lead you to a greater future!"

There was a moments silence as the crowd assimilated what he was saying. An uncertain silence hung in the air and for a moment it looked as though it could go either way. Then, like a burst of lightening from a thundercloud, the crowd roared their approval and King Micheal smiled. It was not going to be an easy journey, but it was one that he was prepared to make. The war against the Crawler was over. Now it was time to fight the war for a better world.
