When Severus was lurking around the halls, he heard someone sobbing in the girl's bathroom. The cry was familiar, he already heard it before. It was late at night and he went inside, he didn't care whether it was the girl's bathroom. He knew this cry.

"Why are you here? This is the girl's bathroom!" the girl said. This wasn't just any girl.

"Lily, Lily Evans what's wrong?" Severus said.

"James…he just I used to talk to James and everything was okay, now we don't talk and…" Lily sobbed. Severus eyes flashed with anger. He always knew that Lily deserved better. She didn't deserve someone who was like James.

"Just what, Lily?" Severus asked. Lily didn't talk back. She just turned around and sobbed some more.

"Lily, do you remember when we were young? That time in the field," Severus said. Lily turned and wiped her tears.

"Yeah, I remember that," she said.

"Of course, I know you do, you will never forget that."

"What? But I thought you did," Lily said.

"You didn't come back, you never did," Severus said arrogantly.

"I didn't leave you, you know."

"Then why, after all this time, you just forgot me." Severus said loudly.

"I didn't forget you."

"But you did Lily. You just traded me for that James Potter."

"I looked for you, Severus, but you were gone."

"I wasn't gone. You just didn't see me."

"I'm sorry Severus," Lily said as she looked at Severus in the eye. Severus hugged Lily, and Lily is now under his arms.

"You deserve better Lily," Severus said as he put Lily's head on top of his shoulder, and put his head on top of Lily's.
