Dizzying images fill his dreams and disconcerting glimpses of skin and scent taunt his nights. He tweaks excuses around his fingers, but none is good enough. Until the best comes along and offers the one thing he wanted to do the most for the last four years to Dean on a silver platter.
Getting in is easy, finding Sam easier. Even in the dark he can feel the shadow fall over him.
"Why are you here ?"
"Because I need you."
One look is enough to let Dean add "Dad's missing". Because for anything else he has no explanation yet.
