AN: I think my crazy streak of updates is slowly coming to a halt. I've been ignoring RL a lot lately, but the bastard won't go away.
DISCLAIMER: I don't own Supernatural. I just wish Dean was mine.
Dean was confused.
Angel's lips on his were pure heaven.
"It's okay. You did the best you could. I forgive you."
Dean wanted to say something, but words got stuck in his throat. He wanted to save her. He wanted to have her. He needed redemption.
But for some reason, he needed him too.
Alistair was choking Castiel, as the angel obviously miscalculated the power of the demon. Dean hit the demon on the head, and then found himself in Castiel's place.
"Dean, Dean, Dean. I am so disappointed. You had such promise."
In a matter of minutes it was all over. Anna got back her grace, transformed back into an angel and disappeared.
Castiel and Uriel stood in front of him and Sam. Dean could not recall the words they exchanged; he only saw him. The look in Castiel's eyes just before both angels vanished.
Dean did not know what to think, or feel anymore.
He needed him. But he wanted her.
Ruby caught his glance in that moment, and silent understanding passed between them – first and last time.
She understood why, even though he yet didn't.
His two angels.
Now, after so much time had passed, he finally got it.
He wanted Anna desperately; but he needed Castiel more.
