Two boys ran over a sandy beach,the soft pit-pats echoing and the rash pants evaporating from the double,The sun was an almost indescribable shade of red or orange maybe even yellow. None of that mattered though.

Sora thought of how this had all came into a competition , Riku had said whoever wins wold get a papou fruit said to unite lovers forever. Though Sora didn't know who he would have even shared it with, He always had to say yes to a challenge. Even though Riku almost always won. But that would never stop him."Race you too the cliff" He said already starting off Sora catching up and slightly panting. Riku of coarse won. He gave Sora the prize. "Here I don't need one of these." Riku said handing it to the smaller blue eyed boy. He took it. Once again he wondered what to do with it. "Hey,Riku?" Sora asked the other boy."Yeah,Sora." Sora about to ask if he wanted to share the star shaped yellow fruit with him."I'm going to see Kairi,see you tomorrow." "OK Sora." Riku said back to the dazzling young boy,Wishing he would stay with him. But instead stayed by the beach.

He walked to Kairi's house while in a hushed tone singing some sort of lullaby.

"Hey Kairi!"Sora said his electric blue eyes shining."Hey Sora,is that a papou fruit?","Yep,Riku gave it too me."He smiled brightly."Do you want it?" , "Yeah,want to share it with me?" Kairi asked generously wanting to share it with a certain girl."Nah,gotta get home. Thanks for asking!""No problem,see you later Sora."

"We don't need any silly fruit to stay together."

"Kairi and Selphie got together Riku!"An energetic brunette with stunning eyes hat looked like the sky voiced."Oh thats bad.","Why Riku did you like Kairi?" Said the smaller boy."No I thought you did."There was a silence. Then they looked at each other and started to laugh. "No" Sora said in between laughs. "Sooo who do you like?" Asked the silver haired boy. "So-someone"Sora stuttered. "Who?" Riku asked more serious but more in the way too girls would talk about there crushes."You have to tell me who you like first.","Well.."Said Riku,"He has brown hair and the bluest of eyes,His name starts with a S and sometimes he is a real idiot.""Seifer!" "Whose that Sora?" Riku pondered aloud."This guy, umm I don't know!" Sora said burrowing his brows."Well hes being an idiot right now."Sora looked at him oddly."It's you silly."Riku said."Guess who I like now.", "Who?","You" Sora answered simply.

"We will always be together,Nothing can ever change that."

Riku stood there the darkness grasping at him. Holding his hand out at the smaller boy,But then he drew his hand back. "I love you " He mouthed silently. The darkness swallowed him. Truth was Sora was mad at him. Not for destroying him home separating him and his other best friend but for not bringing him with him.

"I'll find you"

When he finally found the silver haired boy,He felt his knees give out and his sight blur. His voice stuttered as he cried out words and sentences. But suddenly it was okay,suddenly everything was alright.

"Finally, night is the darkest thing again."

Riku and Sora sat on the beach they inhabitant so much."Hey,Riku why don't we share a papou fruit?"Sora asked."Nah.","Why not?","We don't need one of those things to stay together."..."Yeah."

Sora paused."But there yummy."-
