"I hear Danny Collins is in the crowd tonight!" Rose shouted after she finished a song, "That's perfect because I could really use his help for my cover song of the night. You guys voted on twitter and the winner was "Skin" by Rihanna!"
Rose smiled as the crowd cheered, "Get Mr. Collins up here and sit him down in that chair," she said as she began singing.
"The mood is set,
So you already know what's next.
TV on blast,
Turn it down,
Turn it down.
Don't want it to clash,
When my body's screaming out now.
I know you hearin' it,
You got me moaning now.
I got a secret that I wanna show you, oh.
I got a secrets imma drop em to the floor, oh."
By the time she got to the hook, Danny was sitting. She walked over, slowly and straddled him while continuing the song, rolling her body with the music.
"No teasing,
You waited long enough.
Go deep,
Imma throw it at ya,
Can you catch it?
Don't hold back,
You know I like it rough.
Know I'm feeling ya, huh.
Know you liking it, huh."
She continued giving singing legend, Danny Collins a lap dance before getting to the bridge where she led him to a platform and laid him down.
No heels,
No shirt,
No skirt,
All I'm in is just skin.
No jeans,
Take em off,
Wanna feel your skin.
You a beast, oh.
You know that I like that.
Come here baby,
All I wanna see you in is just skin
Oh oh oh your skin
Oh oh oh just skin
Oh oh oh I'm lovin' your skin
Oh oh oh"
As she sang the platform sunk into the stage and she dismounted, "Thanks for your help," she said with a smile.
Danny sat there with a dopey grin on his face, "That's not what I expected at your show. You sing acoustic music" he stated.
Rose nodded, "You're right but I take a twitter crowd request every show, no matter what it is, and New Jersey wanted this song so I did like Rihanna would do. Hope you enjoyed it! I have to get back out there. Maybe I'll see you around again sometime."
Danny smiled back placing a hand gently on her cheek, "I certainly hope so."
Later that night, Rose settled in to her hotel room and pulled out her guitar. She strummed a few lines and began singing the words that came to her mind. She was lost in the moment until there was a knock at her door.
"Just a minute!" she yelled, putting down her guitar and opening the door to reveal Danny Collins on the other side.
"I'm your next door neighbor," Danny said, "I heard you singing through the wall."
"Was I bothering you?" Rose asked, feeling a little embarrassed.
Danny waved his hand in the air, almost catching his scarf, "No, not at all. I was actually hoping you'd help me with a song I'm writing. We could duet?"
Rose smiled, "Why not? Lead the way," she agreed as she walked next door into his room where she sat next to him on the piano bench.
"What do you have so far?" she asked.
Danny began playing the piano and singing about leaves falling on the ground. Rose jumped right in with a harmony.
They stayed up the entire night singing and writing music. "I have to go," Rose said as she looked at the clock, "I have to get going to the next stop on my tour," she finished regretfully.
Danny smiled at her, his eyes revealing his regret at not making more of the night, "Maybe I'll see you again sometime. We could record this song together."
Rose smiled, "Let me know," she replied. She wrote her cell number on the notebook they'd been working on and looked into his eyes for a moment before leaning in and kissing him softly on the lips. "Until next time," she whispered.
