The Death of Light

'This was it' I thought, 'The Deceiver will finally fall!' The battle had been long with many a brush with death but we, the elite of The Dark Knights, had finally begun to gain an upper hand against Kil'jaeden , the Supreme Commander of the Horrifying Burning Legion. "Do not let your guard down!" Yelled Iszadora, one of our leaders, "We must honor Anveena's sacrifice and end this demon's reign of terror once and for all!" As The Deceiver continued to struggle against the Sunwell's essence, which only moment's ago he had attempted to absorb into his being, he lashed out in rage and pain attempting to kill us all before his power was absorbed back into the Twisting Nether.

As Kil'jaeden began to channel the chaotic energies of the Twisting Nether into one final desperate Darkness of a Thousand Souls attack, Zornoth, our Guildmaster's spouse, used one of Kalecgos' orbs to change his form and shield us from the impending blast. As I made my way to the others, disaster struck. I tripped, a great mighty druid of the wild had tripped at the climax of the battle. It was then that our Guildmaster, Xaaki, used an ancient relic that allowed the user to switch two people's position with each other. Having no time to think otherwise she used the relic switch her position (safely behind the shield) with my position (in the line of sight for The Deceiver's final attack) as to save my life.

As I and the other's cried out for her to get back she only turned and smiled sadly at us and said what would most certainly be her final words, "Take care my friends, take care and never lose sight of the light." It was then that Kil'jaeden unleashed the Darkness of a Thousand Souls and our light, the light of our lives, was lost and all I knew then was the darkness of restless slumber.

This was a dramatization of the death of our guild master. Though her death in real life was very different then what was written here, it still had a powerful effect on us. This entire passage was to show the kind, self-sacrificing person that we admired greatly. The names used in this all belong to Blizzard except for Iszadora, Zornoth, and Xaaki, which belong to their respective players. The second part will come after her memorial.
