I'm Done Running Are You?
Serena sighed and rolled over in her bed, it had been a month since the kids
had started spending more time with their father and they seemed to be
very, very happy about everything. It made Serena feel like she had been a
terrible mother even though she had called Lita and Lita had just said that
they had needed a father figure. Her words didn't comfort her, she was fully
prepared to stay in her bed all day and think when the doorbell rang.
Serena got out of her bed and went to see who it was, she opened the door,
"Yes?"
There stood Darien without the kids. "Hi Serena"
"Hello Darien." Came her cold reply
He sighed, "We really need to talk."
"Where are my children?" She asked maintaining her icy tone.
"They're in the car Serena, right there." He pointed behind him where his red
convertible was parked and Rini and Derran were playing.
"Alright then."
"Serena," Darien said looking at her straight in the eyes, "The way we're acting
is affecting the kids, I really think it's bothering them that we don't get along."
Serena shuddered slightly, not wanting to have the kids go through any more
pain then they already had. "Alright then, I Guess we'll just have to try to get
along better, wont we."
Darien nodded and called to the kids, "Come on guys! Time to spend time with
your mother!"
"Alright!" they both yelled and jumped out of the car. They ran to their mother
and hugged her.
Serena smiled and ushered them inside and closed the door in Darien's face.
Trista stood behind a tree, watching them and shook her head, "Those two are
impossible, Lord knows if they'll ever even be friends. They're going to end up hurting themselves or those poor children. They've already been through so much..."
