Chapter 1- How Kirk Returned
"Jim, you never said how you got back."
"Did I not?"
"No."
50 years ago…..
"Sir, you have to come with me."
"Who are you?"
"Bill Tiberius Kirk."
"A relative?"
"Your great-great grandson."
"Rank?"
"Captain."
"Vessel?"
"USS Enterprise J, NCC-1701 J, sir."
They went atop a mountain.
They leaped through the Nexus.
They were on the bridge of the Enterprise D.
"James!"
"Jean-Luc!"
They all talk a while.
"We must go, now."
They leave.
They go to the Enterprise J.
Chapter 2- A Good Crew
James T. Kirk, met the crew.
"Fine crew you have here."
"Thanks."
He took a seat.
"Warp speed, Mr. Sulu."
They warped out.
They stopped.
A Bird of Prey sits in their path.
"Captain, we're being hailed."
"On screen."
A Klingon Captain, they recognize is there.
"Is that?"
"No."
"I am the Klingon Captain Mer'jok!"
"Shields up!"
"Shields up, Captain."
"Lock weapons."
"Weapons locked."
"Move, or be moved."
"Go ahead."
"Fire all weapons."
The Klingon ship blows.
They read the scans.
The Klingons had beamed home.
Chapter 3- Court Martial
"Bill, we're in trouble."
"I know it Bones."
"Bones?"
"I took on the nickname, Admiral."
"Why are you in trouble?"
"I didn't clear time travel with Starfleet."
"Really?"
"When you're trying to save the galaxy."
"Yes?"
"You don't pay much attention to reporting it."
"You're definitely my great-great grandson."
"I was tested as a Captain."
"How?"
"A so-called no-win situation."
"And?"
"I don't believe in no-win situations."
Chapter 4- Beaming Down
"Here we go. I don't expect any of you…."
"I am sure I speak for everyone, we're coming."
"You don't have to."
Everyone said they wanted to.
They beamed down.
Chapter 5- Court
"You Captain Kirk are charged with:
1. Illegal time travel
2. Not notifying Starfleet, and
3. Altering history.
"I plead not guilty."
"I want to speak on his behalf."
Admiral Kirk came up.
"Allowed."
"This man, is my great-great grandson."
"And?"
"He saved me from being stuck in the Nexus."
"He did?"
"Yes."
"I altered history to save him, and his legacy."
"Picard did that though."
"He didn't."
"How?"
"A Borg ship was going to destroy the Nexus."
"The Enterprise D destroyed the vessel."
"Picard had to command."
Admiral Picard approaches.
"He is correct."
"Continue."
"He had planned to go in, but couldn't."
"So you did?"
"Yes, sir."
"I hereby rule all charges dropped."
"THAT'S MY BOY!"
Kirk hugs his Bill.
"I guess your blessed, my boy."
"As you are."
Chapter 6- The Enterprise J 2
"Well, Jim, I guess family conquers all."
"A bond that cannot be broken."
"He's a good kid. I love him. He's my family."
"He's just like his great-great granddad."
"I know."
