"We have now landed, please exit in an orderly fashion." the Pilot announced over the PA. Alfred unbuckled his seat belt and grabbed his carry-on, following the rest of the flight to the door. His camo uniform was a little wrinkled, so he pulled on it until it sat smoothly on his body. His three year service in the Army was over, and was coming home, "I hope Artie's okay." he mumbled. His flight had been delayed three hours, so it was well past midnight when his plane arrived.

"Arthur, I'm coming home. Which means I'm coming home to you. I hope you're alright. Love, Alfred" Arthur reread the last letter that Alfred had sent to him. The paper was worn out, the edges slightly burned.. He had probably been doing everything with those words as motivation. He stood in a sea of people waiting for his arrival, which really didn't help much with his height.

He hugged him from behind as he kissed his cheek. "Hey there babe~ Miss me?"

Arthur punched the living hell out of Alfred, slamming him onto the ground with his foot, "How could you not inform me of your departure three years ago you git!"

"I-I did!" He said in fear. "Go into your left pocket. There's a letter!"

"I don't have any letters from you other than the most recent one which I have right here!" He shoved the letter to his face and crumpled it. "I won't accept it," he leered for a second and slowly made his way to the stairs.

"B-Babe!" His heart crumpled when he was walking away. "Ch-Check your phone if you don't believe me!" He was at the edge of tears.

He yelled back at him, "I don't have any messages from you! Leave me be Alfred!" and he walks down the steps.

He couldn't help but cry as he fell to the floor. How could this happen!? He sent an e-mail, a letter and a phone message to Arthur telling him he had been drafted. "I-I told you!" He cried back.

Arthur rushes out of there, wiping away his forming tears and stops at the next corner of the stairway.

Alfred, picking up his bag, stumbles out and passes the corner where Arthur was, barely noticing him.

Arthur stares after Alfred and sniffles. He makes his way back to the terminals.

He got a taxi and made his way to Arthur's house to take his stuff and go to a hotel.

After some time, he found the ruined paper and neatly folded it, placing it back into his pocket. He looks out the windows.

He got his stuff and got out. He tripped down part of the driveway. He was a mess. "I-I love you, Iggy." He said between tears.
