Hey guys! Here's a new one. Hope you enjoy! :)
Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto, the characters, or anything that inspired this. I do own this spontaneous poem, though.
This formatting isn't letting me do my indenting... Sigh.
6/25/11 EDIT: I've added the equal signs so that the "indents" show. Please excuse the weirdness. I really wanted the indents, and the tab wasn't working with the formatting, soooo...
I guess without further ado!
To Burn Brightly, Then to Die
Candles that are
=== Burning brightest
=== Die the fastest
The stars that will
=== Be quickly formed
=== Are fast deformed
And—
Just like a star
=== Soon to explode—
=== Or to implode?—
One with much skill
=== Gathered too fast
=== Will never last
Pow'r unsustained
=== Speed'ly destructs
=== The rotten luck
The sword's honed head
=== Will lose sharpness
=== From the darkness
For unmaintained
=== Exploding pow'r
=== Will soon devour
The life who's led
=== That forceful life
=== Solely to strive
If you seek death—
=== Press on forward
=== Your path toward
Your final breath,
=== Quickly coming
=== Looming, humming,
Modern Macbeth,
=== You soon will fade
=== Beneath your shade
[To burn brightly, then to die
A star solely to snatch the eye]
A/N: If Sasuke and Naruto continue their exponential power growth, they may actually kill themselves. Though they still might kill each other in the end. Hm.
EDIT: Once again, sorry about the weird formatting. Thanks for reading!
Please R&R and share your thoughts!
