THE BLOODY BLADES OF KHAINE
The White Wyrm Oghanothir slowly opened its giant eyes as the earth's shaking became more and more violent. Hissing, the giant serpent slid through its cave, armored plates clinking together as it – for the serpent had no true gender - moved. Its tongue, longer than most mortal starships, slid out of its mouth and back in faster than the eye could follow. The scent was familiar, Oghanothir had been fleeing from it for almost its entire existence.
Khaine was here.
The serpent briefly contemplated fleeing through the stars once more, forcing the god to pursue it for all time, but in its arrogance decided against it. Instead, it decided to fight. Against the might of a serpent who devoured worlds, even a god could not hope to prevail.
Slithering forwards at the speed of light, Oghanothir reared its head outside of the cave entrance and glared down upon Khaine. The god was huge, over one hundred feet tall and dozens of feet wide, a being of pure muscle and fire, with one hand clasping a Vaul-forged blade and his left continuously dripping with gore, yet even he was not larger than the serpent, who was so titanic the sun itself was blotted out by his mass.
Oghanothir's eyes narrowed as it found itself confused as to how he could ever have been scared of such a puny creature. A hiss capable of rupturing the eardrums of mere mortals was heard around the entire moon, and even the Bloody-Handed God found himself reeling from the sound as Oghanothir reared back, ready to devour the god.
Khaine drew his left hand back, and the blood ceased to drip, instead forming into a pair of blades. Hurling his hand forward, the God let out a fierce bellow, and the daggers of blood roared into flame as they dove into the serpent's eyes. Oghanothir reared back in pain, bellowing in pain, and Khaine answered with his own roar, one of anger and hatred and power. Where Oghanothir's scream was heard across the entire moon, Khaine's roar echoed through reality, the warp and the webway, heard by every God and every Eldar. The mortals found themselves driven to their knees, while the Gods found their eyes drawn to the conflict, marveling in Khaine's ambition at challenging such a mighty being.
The blinded serpent lashed out with a tail longer and thicker then even the mightiest mortal ship, destroying mountains in its blind rage and fury, but Khaine merely grabbed it with his blood-hand and crushed the bones within. He pulled back, forcing the serpent's head towards him, where the Vaul-forged blade finally bit into flesh and decapitated the monstrosity.
Khaine's bellow of victory made even the Gods flinch in pain and fear, as the God of War's first significant victory solidified his place as the greatest warrior in Heaven. Thus, the aspect of the Crimson Hunter, the blades that strike at weakness faster than the eye can follow, was created.
