Lindsay sings at the talent show. Gil has left and Cath is upset, what will she do to fix that?

Lindsay was due to perform at the talent show tonight, but she was worried about her mother. Cath had been unusually quiet since Gil left, and Lindsay could tell she missed him. Cath had always loved him, but had kept it quiet. Lindsay phoned Gil, and made the arrangements needed, he was coming home, to his true love, his butterfly, his Catherine. As Lindsay took the stage, her soft, melodic voice filled the room, and Catherine smiled from the front row, proudly at her daughter.

You tucked me in, turned out the light
Kept me safe and sound at night
Little girls depend on things like that

Lindsay was watching her mother, as Catherine smiled back at her, with tears in her eyes.

Brushed my teeth and combed my hair
Had to drive me everywhere
You were always there when I looked back

Lindsay had been practising non-stop since she had found out about the talent show.

You had to do it all alone
Make a living, make a home
Must have been as hard as it could be

Lindsay loved her mother, and wanted to do anything to make her happy.

And when I couldn't sleep at night
Scared things wouldn't turn out right
You would hold my hand and sing to me

From the doorway, Gil watched Lindsay sing to her mother, with a smile on his face, truly glad he was back.

He decided at that point that he would never need anything else if he had his family, because thats what they were. Lindsay had become like a daughter to him, and he'd already called Catherine his wife, but he wanted it to be true. He wanted that ring on her finger, and he wanted her.

I promise you there will come a day

Cath was oblivious to Gil approaching from behind, as he smiled at Lindsay, and she smiled back.

Then a second light flashed into the audience onto Gil, as he walked to Catherine, and at that point Cath turned to see the love of her life, walk back into her life.

Lindsay smiled down at her mother, and at Gil as Gil said 'I Love You' and the audience smiled as Gil leant in and captured her lips in a loving, and gentle kiss.

It was then that Lindsay realised that now he was back, her mother was finally going to be happy, which is all she wanted.
