A Beginning

After the catastrophic events that led to the destruction of Earth, humans were thought to be extinct to the majority of the universe. Many other beings were glad because the destruction that they caused, leaving nothing but wastes in their wake, would cease.

Little did they know that multiple starships had been launched with many humans in cryo-sleep contained inside, all with no recollection of their mission, past lives or world caused by an unknown side effect of prolonged exposure to the volatile gasses. In separate areas of the ships, many animals were held under similar conditions, though instead of amnesia, they mutated, merging with the elements that they were nearest to. Those near the engines merged with fire and toxins, and others near the resource bays merged with stone, steel, grass, water, ice and ground, while those near circuitry merged with electricity. Some kept near humans began developing similar traits, such as a developed brain and enhanced muscles, and eventually caused mutations in the closest humans, creating humanoids of the fighting and psychic denominations. Those that woke early merged with the darkness and developed traits to prey on others for survival, while the birds, the bugs and the reptiles remained much the same, only growing in size and changing in appearance, the same held true for many other creatures, and those became what we now know of as the normal type.

Upon landing on the surface of the planet that was to be colonized, ramps fell and real eased the creatures to the new world, nowhere they dispersed to find suitable habitats. Man took longer to awaken, and only exited the transports long after everything had left, leaving behind only what appeared to be a building. These constructions became what life revolved around after humans began building cities around them.

The first to arrive landed in the region known as Kanto, and is now known as the Indigo Plateau.

Now, 600 years after landing, the fate of the world rests in the hands of a select few, who are but children, for we have been discovered...
