Missing Links-Chapter 1

Kelsey Vega, a 19 year old demigod daughter of Erebos, the god of darkness and shadows, stood on the balcony of her loft. She breathed in, recapping her last day at camp. She found out her boyfriend, Luke had turned. But that was 2 years ago, now, she was living by herself in Manhattan.

She let out an exasperated sigh, and closed her eyes, enjoying the quiet of the crisp fall night. Then, suddenly, she heard the beginning of Kelsey by Metro Station. The song Luke used to sing to her when they were alone. She didn't want to hear it anymore, so she went back inside, shutting the glass doors.

Then the singing began.

It was Luke's voice.

Kelsey bolted off her bed, and onto the balcony. She stared out below her, only to see Luke standing there, smiling at her. She gasped, and ran down the stairs. She tugged the door open, and threw her self into Luke's open arms. She buried her face into his shirt, letting her tears seep through the fabric.

Luke gently kissed the top of her head and murmured into her hair "I told you I would find you." He felt her lips curl into a smile against his chest, and she pulled away, showing her deep purple eyes, black hair, and pale skin. She stayed smiling as Luke cupped her face in his hands, and kissed her.

When they pulled away, Luke held her tightly into his chest. He didn't want to serve Kronos anymore. He just wanted to stay like this, with the girl he loved in a warm embrace.

"Kelsey, I love you."

She looked up at him with a sullen look on her face and said.

"I don't love you."

His smile quickly faded. This couldn't be happening. No.

"I will always love you. With all my heart, and I will never ever stop."
