Once upon a time, the world was dark.
It was a nightmare, and my dreams were my world.
Days spent locked away.
Forced to fight,
and dreams were never allowed to stay.
The outside world was dark.
But what was left of my own heart was darker.
No light, I thought, I'd ever find.
And for once, I didn't really mind.
I was on my own.
And then you came into my world.
Who were you?
Why did you save me?
How could you make me into what you wanted me to be?
Why did you do this for me?
When I was starving, you fed me.
When I was cold, you warmed me.
When I was sick, you nursed me.
When I was lonely, you loved me.
And for all that, I owed you everything.
But in the end, it wasn't enough.
I tried so hard, but in the end I wasn't strong.
I loved you,
And yet I left you to save you,
only to fail in the end.
Once upon a time, the world was dark.
And now it's dark again,
And my heart…
Well, darkness only remains…
