A/N: A short Seblaine drabble based on 4x07, and because my poor Seb was killing me. I own nothing. Reviews would be amazing!
"We all know the real Blaine, Blaine."
Perfection. The real Blaine was perfection. And nobody knew the real Blaine like Sebastian did. Kurt would never understand that, and now that he was gone? It was finally Sebastian's turn. After all of the excruciating waiting, after deciding to become a better person, he could finally have him.
He'd even started using that ridiculous gel.
But if that's what made Blaine happy, and if that's what made Blaine his, he could deal with it. Seeing Blaine again felt like flying. It was the most idiotic, most cliche thing he'd ever experienced, but Sebastian had butterflies in his stomach. And when Blaine put on that old blazer and sang, Sebastian was sure that he'd stay. He belonged at Dalton, after all.
So when Blaine declined his invitation to get some coffee, Sebastian didn't take it to heart. Blaine would be back. Pretty soon he'd be able to see Blaine all the time anyways. With that in mind, Sebastian wasn't disappointed when he tried in vain to talk to Blaine on Skype that night. Not that they'd done that since the slushie incident, but he couldn't give up hope now.
He didn't give up hope until he watched Blaine run away with the blond kid, back to the public school scum that he thought cared about him. And when he picked up Blaine's blazer, resisting the urge to tear it up into pieces and burn it, he knew it was over. For the first time in what seemed like years, Sebastian went back to Scandals that night. And he forgot about Blaine.
Because the real Blaine?
The real Blaine would never choose him.
