"You don't have to leave…I do." Spencer replied standing and moving slightly from the bed. "I can't. Not like this." She said, looking from Ashley to Aiden, and then retreating from the room entirely.
"Boys," Ashley huffed in annoyance, "you always wreck the perfect moments." "Spencer!" Ashley screamed, running past Aiden to the hallway trying to catch up to a quickly retreating Spencer.
Ashley ran through the many hallways of her large home searching for Spencer, hoping she may have stopped, wanting to talk. She knew she was wrong, but what could checking hurt? When she realized that it was an entirely pointless waste of time, she ran to the door seeing Spencer walking down her driveway. "Spencer!" she called again, opening her door and running into the beginnings of rain.
Spencer turned slightly at the sound of her name but continued walking. She didn't want to talk to Ashley right now, couldn't look at her. She just continued chastising herself for wanting someone she couldn't have, shouldn't want. She was just about to pick up her pace when someone grabbed her shoulder and spun her around at an impressive speed. Before she was even turned around, she knew who it was. Ashley. Just the person she'd been running from. 'Well, damn' Spencer thought.
"Spencer, stop." Ashley said, quietly and firmly. She hadn't intended to be so forceful but she wasn't about to let Spencer leave right now. Not after all this progress she was sure she had ruined with her impatience.
Spencer was determined to get her side of this out before Ashley had time to say anything. "I just don't want my first kiss with a girl to just be about messing with someone." She said, stepping away from Ashley. She needed this space right now. Too many emotions were running so high. "That's not even what it was. Not with you. I wanted to mess with Aiden. That boy needs put in his place." Ashley sighed "Thinking he can have yo— Thinking he can have whoever he wants…screw it." Ashley said, looking down, expecting rejection again. "I don't want him to have what I want….which is you." Spencer turned and walked back to Ashley, draping her arm around her to prevent anymore rain-induced shivers.
Ashley looked up at Spencer, then toward the sky, which had progressively started pouring rain onto the both of them, then back down at Spencer, the move brought their faces; once again, mere inches apart. "Spencer?" Ashley exhaled. Spencer smiled and brought her hand to Ashley's chin, using feather-light touches to coax her face the remaining space.
As their lips met for the first time Spencer sighed loudly causing Ashley to smile and close her lips around Spencer's once more.
