The room was dark.
I sat stilly, watching soft dust particles fall from the ceiling above. Silent yelling and shouting sounded from around me, and the air was unsettling.
They said he'd be here by now.
I just wanted to talk, to seek guidance. I needed help in this war, and I knew he, of all people, wanted this war more than anything else. He'd understand, he'd have to understand.
I heard the door creak behind me, but I didn't dare look. I heard his heavy footsteps and uneven, heavy breaths, and the way he carried himself. This was definitely him.
He sat down in front of me, tilting his dark skinned head to the side. His dark brown eyes sent an uneasy feeling down my spine.
He leant closer to me, testing my limits. He smelt me, and I turned my head away. His dark lips twisted into a smile, letting out a loose chuckle.
"You are brave, augment. It's been a while since I've met one of your kind," he said, his English proficient.
"But you know why I've come," I offered, turned to face him again.
A twisted smile met with his lips. "Perhaps the same as the first one, to seek refuge from Starfleet and murder my best officers for the sake of killing," he snarled, his lip twisting.
I tilted my head back. "I've come to seek guidance."
He chuckled, cocking his head back. He was truly amused, he snarled and snorted, and laughed loudly.
"An ex-Starfleet officer, a well respected Captain, if I'm not mistaken, has come to the Klingon home world, searching for advice?" he smiled, raising a furry eyebrow. He let out a long, heartfelt laugh before returning to me.
"I want to take down Starfleet," I said boldly, and he turned to me, his face dropping and suddenly turning serious. "They have used me, and they have betrayed me and abandoned me. I need to take my revenge, I need to bring them down."
The Klingon leader stood and cocked his head to the side. He flashed a set of pearly, uneven teeth. "You're a woman," he hissed, leaning down and running a hand through my hair. "As far as I know, there hasn't been one of you in five hundred years, ever since they failed the first attempt." He inched closer to me, walking around me to the opposite side of the table. "What did they do to you? Did they make you sleep with countless men, use you to create the augments rather than restarting the process?"
"Please," I turned to face him, "I need your men."
The Klingon leader chuckled again, but then his face dropped almost immediately. "Do you know who I am?"
I swallowed, keeping my eyes focused on the dark wall in front of me. "Yes."
He chuckled. "Then educate me."
"You are Kahless, the Unforgettable. Ruthless ruler of the Klingons," I said gently. "Years ago you defeated rebel tribes, uniting Kronos. You became a good ruler, a great ruler. But you turned sour three hundred years ago when a criminal of my kin, Khan Noonien Singh murdered several of your officers."
Kahless smiled, chuckling evilly. "Precisely."
I swallowed and I looked down, panic rising into my chest.
"lugh DIch, Qup augment. 'ach vItlhob SoH wa' wa' qaStaHvIS nobHa' mangghom," he smiled evilly, crossing the room.
He stood behind me, and I looked off into the distance. I felt fear wash over me, and I swallowed slowly.
"What will you have me do?" I asked quietly, my voice a shudder.
He walked in front of me, slamming his fists to the table. I swayed backward, away from his anger.
"Bring me Khan Noonien Singh."
