Disclaimer: I own nothing, not even Oliver Wood D: Sad, I know!

He saw her running from a distance, through the crowd she shone, shining like a ray of sunlight from behind many, more un-important clouds. Everyone was screaming and celebrating and a voice that sounded so far away was screaming 'we won! we won!'. Soon enough the voice was tuned out and all he could see was Katie running towards him, her blonde hair flying behind her, her cheeks bright red in a flurry of excitement and the effort of trying to reach him through the quickly thickening crowd. Everyone had joined for the celebration, running down from the stalls to grasp a chaser, a seeker or a beater and congratulate them, from the corner of his eye he could see those clad in red, blue and yellow, all celebrating the Gryffindor win against Slytherin. As she broke through the crowd, he saw her brown eyes were sparkling and wide with surprise, Oliver watched as she pushed a small first year aside without much worry, and he felt a pair of arms close around his neck, gripping him tightly.

We did it! she was whispering, her breath a small gust of wind against his ear as she repeated the same words. He wasn't sure if she was doing this for his benefit or hers, she seemed astounded with herself, that she had been a part of the game that won the Quidditch cup! The whole thing was amazing. She gripped him so tight, clinging onto him for dear life. He returned the hug with excitement, complete bliss, who could believe winning would feel like such a rush? This was more than just happiness, this was complete euphoria. The fact that Katie was holding onto him for dear life only made matters so much better.

She was so close he could bury his face in her blonde curls, smell her intoxicating perfume, she didn't seem to mind (or notice) how clammy he was from a hard, brutal game, but they had not lost, Gryffindor had been victorious. Oliver felt another wave of pride for his team wash over him as he found himself lifting Katie off her feet. She was sweeping through the air, flying.

Once she was back on the ground, her breath returned to her for only a minute or so before she felt his lips on hers and she reeled backwards with the mere contact of their lips. He heard catcalls of which he was sure belonged to Fred and George but the moment was not to be interrupted. He held Katie closer, neither of them noticing as the Quidditch field began to empty, the celebrations were to be continued in the great hall.

And soon enough he was alone with his Katie,

and Oliver was sure this was an all time high.

This is my first Katie and Oliver fanfiction and I know it's quite short and a little crap, but I kind of wanted it fast paced to describe the excitement and tension and everything. I doubt my writing too much, but I probably should. xD

Comments, please? D: I'll be sad if you don't. Lmao.
