This story is an add-in story. Constructive criticism is appreciated, but flames will be ignored and deleted off of the review board. My best friend and I are transported to the world of One-Piece and need to use the skills and knowledge we have acquired to survive. This story isn't like most, it won't follow the crew until they reach the New World. Most reading this already knows what happens to the crew in the process. So, on with the story.
Disclaimer: I do not own One-Piece nor any of it's characters. Those belong to Oda Eiichiro, which I must say is truly inspired work.

Prologue: The Storm
Two friends were out on the ocean, enjoying their time with their watercraft rentals from a cruise ship. One was riding on a wave runner, jumping waves and grinning like a cat that got into the creme. She had curly blonde hair down to the shoulders. The other was operating a speed boat and was just casually following after her friend. She also had curly blonde hair, however it was a shade darker. The blonde on the wave runner manuevered next to the speed boat. "You know that thing can go faster," she teased.
"I'm here to relax on a cruise," the other responded. "Racing around the cove is not relaxing."
"Of course it is Missy," the wave runner said. She rolled her eyes to show her friend what she thought. "The feeling of the wind through your hair is very relaxing and stress relieving."
"Maybe for you Rachel," Missy said. She started tapping the side of the boat. "It's not for me. I'd rather be by the pool, catching sun with a cold drink in one hand and a book in the other."
Rachel opened her mouth to retort, but she was cut short by the sirens of the cruise ship. Rachel looked down at her waterproof watch. "Our time isn't over yet," she muttered.
"Rae, look over there." Missy was pointing to the open ocean. Rachel looked to see dark clouds rolling in along with massive waves.
"The weather report said it was supposed to be sunny all day," Rachel commented.
"Well obviously it's not," Missy snapped. "We need to head back to the ship so we don't get caught up in that."
"Don't have to tell me twice," Rachel started edging away from Missy's boat. "Just don't drive like a grandma trying to get there."
"Shut up." Missy started following after Rachel, going faster than the last time.
Before either girl could reach the ship waves started battering against their crafts. Rachel was getting tossed around worse since her craft was smaller. Half way to the cruise ship, a wave rolled over Rachel and pulled her under. Missy stopped her engine and started looking over, trying to find her friend. She never noticed the large wave hit her boat. She was thrown over the side and in the water in an instant. Missy struggled to reach the surface of the water, the current trying to pull her under. A hand reached out and started pulling her upwards. Rachel and Missy reached the surface at the same time. Missy was coughing up water while Rachel was searching. She spotted Missy's boat and her wave runner not far away.
Rachel started to swim towards the boat, dragging Missy along the way. She lowered the ladder and pushed Missy to get in. "Why the hell weren't you wearing your life jacket?" she snapped.
"I wasn't expecting to get wet," Missy said. She was still struggling to catch her breath. "Let alone take an unexpected bath."
"You know our luck," Rachel seethed. She was still in the water, leaning back and letting her life jacket keep her afloat. "You should have been expecting an attack by rabid crabs."
"Like that could happen," Missy rolled her eyes.
"Our luck?"
"There's only a slim chance of that happening," Missy amended.
Rachel shook her head and started for the wave runner. It was during this time that Missy started to take a look around. "That was some freaky storm," she said. "It lasted a few minutes and now gone."
"That's not the only thing that's gone," Rachel commented. She was at the back of the wave runner and started pulling herself up. Once she was fully seated she turned back to Missy. "Where's our cruise ship?"
Missy snapped to attention at the question. She took another slow look around the area. There was an island not far away, but there was no cruise ship in sight. "Did the waves pull us so far out that we can't see it anymore?" she asked hopefully.
"I can see a port at that island," Rachel pointed. "It's close enough to make out a few buildings. Missy, we were anchored off the main island of Hawaii. The island there, not to mention the town, is far too small. It's also not physically possible for a storm to blow us that far away in just a minute."
"Storms have blown ships further off course," Missy argued.
"But not in one minute or less," Rachel pointed out.
"We could have passed out or something."
Rachel held up her watch. "Date and time are a match for when I last looked." Rachel put the safety key back into the wave runner and started the engine. "Either way, it's in our best interest to investigate the island. We won't figure anything out by staying out here getting fried by the sun."
Missy let out a groan. "I didn't sign up for this," she whined. "I'm a mechanic, not some explorer that goes drudging through the mountains like you."
"I'm not an explorer," Rachel corrected. "I'm a store owner and a hunter."
"But as a hunter you know what tricks to use to find your way back in case you get lost right?"
"I would be stupid not to," Rachel agreed. "You always have to remember to use safety first." The two fell into silence and started heading towards the town Rachel had spotted.
